Jim Healy lives in Naperville with his wife (Beverly) and their three children, David, Eric and Alayna.  Jim moved here 15 years ago, and attends St. Athanasios Church in Aurora.  Jim is active in our community and in our schools, serving on many boards and commissions.  Jim is a graduate (Cum Laude) of John Marshall Law School and Elmhurst College, and studied planning and transportation in Europe, Canada and throughout the United States, and has a certificate in City Management from the International City Managers Association. Jim is an attorney, concentrating in the areas of municipal, corporate, real estate and family law.

Experience

County Board Member 1998 to present; Commissioner on NIPC (Northeast Illinois Planning Commission); Chairman of National Transportation Steering Committees (Highways and Aviation), and a member of the National SAFTEA (TEA-21) Task Force for NACo; former City Councilman; former administrative assistant to Jim Edgar; Serving (or served) on the following committees: IT Committee (Chair), Transportation (Vice-Chair),  Finance and Public Works Committees just to name a few.

Community Involvement

Naperville and Aurora Chambers of Commerce (and Government Relations Committees); Naperville Development Partnership; Aurora Economic Development Committee; Naperville Heritage Society, Naperville League of Women Voters; Save our Doughboy and Veterans Park Committees; Cub Scouts; Homeowners Association Board; Homeowner Confederation; Exchange Club; NIKE Residents Advisory Board (RAB); Naper Days Committee ( and many, many others).
